‘Polygamous partner’ as a contact option

Booking a doctor’s appointment and spotted “polygamous partner” as a contact option 😳

Is this a standard option now? 😂 Doesn’t “partner” already encompass that?

If two "partners" are both listed then people may assume it's old out of date info and not contact them right away. It removes that uncertainty.

Fair enough! But there was only space for one name. I still feel it’s oddly specific 😅

This is standard in my job so we don't call someone out of the blue about their "Boyfriend" if they have several.
