I don't understand how people can be so unaware of themselves. In the space of one morning:
First I went for a wax and the place I go has a driveway which, if everyone parks considerately, can fit four cars. I turned up and one car had parked right in the middle of the driveway, taking up what could have been space for four people.
Then I went to pick up my daughter from her preschool. They have a double lane drivethrough with parking down one lane and I always park and get out to go and get DD because she is too small to hop into her car seat by herself and buckle herself in. Anyway I'd just got her and was about to leave my space when another car pulled up in the drive through and got out of the car to go get her son. As she was doing this I reversed to start positioning myself behind her to leave but another car rushed up so fast and refused to let me in. You know when you can just tell someone is deliberately trying to stop you merging. They then did exactly the same thing she did! Parking themselves in the drive through lane and getting out to collect their kid. I'd understand it if there was no parking but there were spaces, they could even have taken my space right by the door if they'd let me out. I feel like if you want to get out of your car then you should park properly, not block up the drive through for others.
No point to this thread really and it only cost me a few minutes of time but it's so annoying that people are unable to think beyond their own actions.
Oh yes and in the same morning when dropping DD off some other car parked straddling two spaces, I parked next to them anyway. It was kind of tight but there were no other spaces and there was easily enough room to open the doors but omg the look the dad gave me. Errr if you don't want someone to park close to your car then maybe don't take up the last two parking spaces in a tiny car park!
Ok I feel better now I've ranted that out.
