Does anyone's teenager have a slanket?

I'm thinking of getting one for our 12yo.

Are they really good for nesting or would a fluffy onesie work just as well?

I think both are a bit ‘passe’ now tbh!

All about the electric blanket Id say

Yes my dd has one.

as well as an electric blanket and a lot of character blankets

My children have hoodies blankets, which went down very well (so much so that OH kept wearing DDs flourscent pink one until i got him his own).

The good thing about hoodies blankets is that you don’t have to take them off when you get up.

DS doesn't care about passé, only nesting.

He's got an electric blanket on his bed. Although I think the cat likes it more than him.

Def worthwhile - my son lived in his for a couple of years and it came out again last winter

I’ve had a slanket for years, it’s great for keeping warm while lying on the sofa but it’s so long I couldn’t walk around in it without tripping up. I also have a plug in heated furry throw on my desk chair.

Daughter has an Oodie which is much easier to wander about in (and it hasss pocketsss)

TallSturdyGirls · 06/09/2026 20:20

Ours live in there's and we dont need to turn on the heating so much or so high.

TallSturdyGirls · 06/09/2026 20:21

Loads on vinted!

I would say an oodie is more practical as you don't have to disentangle yourself to move around the house.
