would you let your 10 year old watch a romantic comedy with a PG rating she 13?

Yes, in all likelihood. A PG rating means parental guidance for young children as there may be some content that is unsuitable so pg is recommended.

If the romantic comedy was full of nudity and sex scenes then it certainly wouldn’t be a PG or even a 12A.

Have a look at the website Common Sense Media as you can check films on there and it will break down why a film has been given that particular rating.

Search the film in IMBD it has parents content advice with details of what might not be suitable. Like sex/nudity language and violence. Scroll down it is lower down on the page
