Finally - honesty from Vinted!

Just looked on Vinted and they're no longer stating "buyer protection fee" when showing the total selling price ex postage, it simply states "Vinted fee". About time too!

This isn't good because if something goes wrong, you can't argue a right to be protected under the 'guarantee'.

I don't think it's any worse than before as despite being called "buyer protection fee" it counted for nothing when they repeatedly responded to issues using bots and AI which seemed incapable of learning. I certainly never heard of anyone being able to invoke the terms of that "protection" when anything went wrong.

They are very slow at issuing refunds if a parcel goes missing. You have to wait 17 business days iirc before they'll give the money back. Tbh I'm fed up with Vinted now - prices are going up, to the point that they are not far off the shop price, but of course you can't return if you don't like something or it doesn't fit.

I did get refunds when items were lost or damaged, so long as I raised the issue asap.
