Just curious

Huh? Take the odd paracetamol?

Toomanysofttoys · 05/09/2026 17:11

If I'm off work and it's chilly I put on a onesie and eat buttery toast.

parkezvous · 05/09/2026 17:19

Eat.

Sleep. Cry. Repeat.

Wear big pants and loose trousers
curl up on the sofa with a herbal tea and a heated blanket
be left alone - low stimulation
eat good quality Chocolate

if at work: paracetamol, big pants, a good supply of tampons etc, and suck it up until the evening.

Get on with things. Work, children, cooking, housework and basal life don’t go away because I’m on my period. Lots of paracetamol helps though

OfDragonsDeep · 05/09/2026 17:25

Go for a run, beats feeling sorry for myself

itstoolateforsnacks · 05/09/2026 17:27

Generally try to go slow if I can. Not often that easy!

LadyLooo · 05/09/2026 17:31

Nothing needed apart from the odd Ibuprofen maybe.

Laiste · 05/09/2026 17:33

Keep warm and give in to food cravings.

Usually crumpets or ice cream depending on the weather.

DameOutrage · 05/09/2026 17:34

My period days are behind me but I never considered "self care" necessary for a normal bodily function. If I was in pain I took a paracetamol.

LadyLooo · 05/09/2026 17:35

Why do you ask @frostylou777 ?

whippersnapper55 · 06/09/2026 11:13

Painkillers and a hot bath, hot water bottle and comfy pyjamas!

bababamama · 06/09/2026 11:38

? Why? I’m genuinely confused how it’s different from any other day

Pain aside, It's not something I've ever got either.

A colleague is like this with all the chocolate, bubble bath, 'comfy pyjamas' etc. It's almost as though she looks forward to feeling sorry for herself.

Yet when her husband gets a cold, she starts moaning if he goes for a lie down 😳

Arorangi · 06/09/2026 11:54

Ignore it. Go to the gym and make the most of the boost I always feel. I’m not a wallower - it makes you feel worse.

LondonLass2026 · 06/09/2026 11:56

Sit on the toilet for hours a day because my fibroids make me lose a huge amount of blood, and try not to faint.
