Can I access newspaper articles about a crime, in Ireland in 1998?

Really need to get my hands on this article as I think it holds vital information. Nothing is accessible on Google but I have all the names, details etc. I just need the article.

You could try contacting libraries local to the area. They might keep digitised copies of local newspapers.

Just subscribe, have a look and then cancel the subscription. Depends how important it is to you.

I found an article I needed from 1950s on the British newspaper archive above. Not sure if there is an Irish equalivent.

I accessed it free when searching on the findmypast website.

if it’s vital and you really need it, this is a small price to pay!

You can search the British Newspaper Archive to see if the article is there before paying, then use pay per view, which is 50p a page.

I have been a little rocked with massive amounts of questions since reading this article. Problem is I won’t see that person ever again and so I cannot ask.
I think it is always strange finding out information after being told one version of events (totally untrue to what I read!)
