I’ll start with a few examples:

A frail man dropped his shopping in the car park yesterday, and I saw two kids run to help him pick it up.

I couldn’t get a refund for a cancelled flight from the airline, so I contacted my bank for a chargeback and the money was in my account within 12 hours. I spoke to a real person and wasn’t on call for hours.

A few weeks ago, I was watching a combine harvesting a nearby field with my nephew. The combine driver stopped and asked us if we’d like a ride.

A young chap did an amazing fest of parking - I gave him a thumbs up - he laughed and said "it was good wasn't it?" 😁

Had a dinner last night with a variety of teens on the spectrum from 13 to 19. One and all were pretty bloody marvelous, each in their own way. The future is bright!

When I was a new mum I took the baby shopping, only to find when I was done I didn't remember how to collapse the buggy or put the car seat back in. The baby was screaming, I was crying, then a couple walking by stopped and helped me. He sorted the buggy and the car seat whilst she calmed me and the baby down. Ended with a big hug and being told I was doing a good job and all would be well.

Still think of them a lot!

I had just paid for three bags of dog food in my local pet store recently, and I then realised I should have got a bag to put them in but they were 10p and I had already paid by card and didnt have any cash on me.

The man behind me said "dont worry! I'll buy you a bag" - I thanked him profusely and said thats so kind of you but you really dont need to, I'm sure I can manage! But before I could say anything else he realised he had left his wallet in his car so he left the shop, went to his car, got his wallet and paid for me to get a bag. He made such an effort to do it that it would have felt really mean spirited to reject it but I wont forget how kind it was of him.

Someone in Tescos stopped me to tell me that they loved my gold trainers and that I looked gorgeous.

On every morning dog walk I get smiles and hellos and good mornings from everyone I meet- its just such a lovely start to the day

Love this thread, makes such a change from the usual moaning about how humanity has gone to the dogs etc

A lovely man gave me a voucher for a free doughnut in IKEA years ago.... because I had my young children with me.
Never forgot that 😂

A few years ago, the husband of a client I provided a short term live in care package for while he was in hospital (we usually did twice daily care calls) left an envelope for me with the managers at the care company I worked for gifting my husband and I a voucher for a taster menu experience at a fabulous restaurant in Soho (Gauthiers if anyone is interested) on the understanding I use it for our upcoming wedding anniversary.

When we arrived at the restaurant we found out he had also called the restaurant up to upgrade the voucher to include the paired wine add on. This must have cost him a couple of hundred £’s on top of an already hefty care costs bill but he was so generous - also have all carers a gift at Christmas and Easter and cancelled calls on bank holidays so staff weren’t overloade when fewer were on duty!
