I squeezed a spot on my forehead and now I look like a Beluga Whale.

Also, it really hurts.

I can’t even move my eyebrows without some quite serious pain.

Does anyone have any advice? Or shall I just hide in a cave until it goes down?

What if it doesn’t go down? What if I’m stuck like this forever?

ouch

Alternate putting a hot and cold compress on it or ask if this fella will let you move in with him

At least you're not a narwhal. That would be really dramatic.

Hot compress to make sure everything is clear.
Then put on some sudecrem.

Two weeks ago I had a very large spot just below my nose.( We were on holiday)
It kept filling up. I followed this advice and within a day it had cleared up.

My sympathies, OP. I have a bloody great one on the side of my nose. I am way, way too old for this!

Sudocrem is excellent for spots; it'll take it down overnight.
If that doesn't work -
Wear a balaclava
Try to bring back sweatbands
Pretend you work in a casino and wear a visor at all times
Dress up early for Halloween as Count Binface.
Style it out by drawing a target around it.

Get some of those spot stickers or a hydrocolloid plaster/tape (same thing as the stickers but bigger and cheaper). They’re really good at deflating and bringing any remaining gunk to the surface. If it’s painful that suggests there’s more to come out.

WonderWeeksArentReal · 04/09/2026 14:40

If you don't have any sudocrem handy, toothpaste is very effective for drying up mega spots.

Jembot · 04/09/2026 14:43

I have nothing helpful to add, but what an unexpectedly charming thread.

I hear you op. For the first time ever I got a spot in my eyebrow. I think that’s the only place I’ve never had one before. So of course I picked at it and it bled and now I have a scab! I should have just put Sudocrem on it!

AmyDudley · 04/09/2026 16:31

Magnesium sulphate paste will draw out any remaining gunk, then some kind of antiseptic cream to reduce the inflammation would be my suggestion.

On the bright side, google tells us that Beluga Whales
'possess rare physical traits like ....... a flexible, bulbous forehead called a melon that allows them to "sing" complex sounds and change facial expressions.'

So embrace your melon headed singing ability while you have it would be my advice. < 'Forever in Blue Jeans' if you are taking requests.)
