Dreaming of Buenos Aires

Can people who have actually been tell me all about it. I hear it's the Paris of south America.

I haven't been in a long time..that said, European from an architectural POV? In places yes, but I wouldn't necessarily make the link with Paris though.

Other than that I didn't get a Parisian vibe in general but the economy wasn't in great shape at the time.

Might be different now, be interesting to hear from current visitors/residents.

Its a rather lovely city, the old quarter is nice, palermo is good for nightlife, restaurants etc, the waterfront part is nice too but honestly you could be on the riverfront at bristol not Paris. Lots to see and do, loved the walk along the river and the nature reserve. Felt safe there too.
