Bedtime books for DS6 (being read to)

We have been through a phase of reading chapter books (me reading to him). He does enjoy it if there are some pictures to look at ideally.

Books I’ve read to him so far:
Dahl- Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie & Choc Factory, BFG, George’s M Medicine, Billy & the Minpins

also:
Kensuke’s Kingdom, The Magic Faraway Tree, all of the 13-storey Treehouse series.

We tried the Thames Tide Club and How to Train Your Dragon but he didn’t seem interested.

Please does anyone have any good recommendations for 6yo boy based on the above?

The Ladybird series are good to share. The Fairy Tales for younger ones, they can read some of it themselves: Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Puss in Boots.
