I came back from Italy a couple of days ago, whilst I was there got bitten by mosquitos. Now convinced I have Western Nile Virus difficulty is my anxiety now in overdrive so find it difficult to tell what's anxiety and what's not.

Feel shivery and like I have a temperature but normal on thermometer, have mild headache and sore throat but ate tea, put kids to bed fine. Other half asleep and has an early start. I should be asleep too but legs feel wobbly. My pulse is also fine. All probability start of a cold but anxiety makes it so difficult.

You don’t have WNV. You are tired and have a sore throat because planes dehydrate throats. Have some tea and honey.

Italy has a population of 58 MILLION and has seen 420 cases. Thats 0.000724% of people. You don’t have it. So stop being silly, go to bed.

@Sunbringer thanks I probably needed that, useful statistic will keep thinking of it. I do feel I coming down with something though your right unlikely WNV.

i had horrific health anxiety for decades so I can understand. It doesn't matter what anyone said id be fixated for weeks. Thankfully therapy & 50mg of sertraline changed my life. I'd recommend. I wish I done it sooner.

What help have you had for your health anxiety?

@Wolfiefan not much, I only get it when I start feeling ill or going on holiday. @justanothermanicmonday1 thanks for understanding I'm glad you've got it under control. I do need to get myself sorted. Just once it goes I think I'm ok until boom jelly legs and can't sleep although did manage to get some sleep after @Sunbringer post. Hopefully it will be better today.

Do seek help. It’s so awful living with this level of anxiety. (Even if it isn’t all the time.)
