Anyone who has had Bell’s Palsy did you drive initially?

Diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. One eye will not shut fully/blink properly as well as mouth and forehead issues. I have got steroids.

I forgot to ask whether I am allowed to drive. I’m feeling rough so won’t for the next few days and will seek proper advice if needed about driving but just wondering meanwhile if anyone who’s had it could let me know if they were told not to drive.

Thanks

I’ve had it once and DH poor thing has had it twice! We were never told not to drive, but don’t if you feel rubbish x

I generally felt so shit I don’t think I drove anywhere at the time. Don’t think I was told not to though. Get better soon, it’s rough.

I have it at the moment (it started on 1 January!). Whilst it is an annoyance and I look very strange, I've always felt fine everywhere else apart from my face and have been driving since it started. No one told me I couldn't. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks all, I shall drive once I feel less rough, I’m hoping my eye feels less sore after a few days of drops.
