Recommendations please for good pub grub/burgers/steak restaurant in Southwark area

On a budget but would like decent food. Not swanky or posh but not witherspoons. Traditional pubs always nice. Went to the faltering fullback in Finsbury Park last year, something similar would be great.( It was Thai BTW but not spicy)

If you want views, there are loads of places along the South Bank. There’s a Flat Iron just by The Clink prison museum. The Gladstone on Lant Street is a lovely Desi pub. If you want seriously foodie, try Oudh 1722 on Union Street.

I don't much fancy that Flat Iron, the tables are practically on top of each other

The Swan part of the Globe. Great views of The Globe, the Thames etc. Lovely venue. Great service and very reasonable prices. You would need to book.
