Just came across this viral thread about a class whatsapp group and was wondering if anyone has seen it and has thoughts?!

If you don’t have the time to go through the full 16(!) videos (which I just binged because it was so hilarious) here is a run down:

Michelle messages the group that her daughter saw Oreo’s at lunch and now wants them. She’s not allowed them.
Other mums say ‘oh, is she allergic?’
Michelle says no. It’s just not allowed in their house.
The next day a child has oreo’s again. Michelle texts the group to stop sending in oreo’s in their child’s lunch box.
This doesn’t happen.
Michelle escalates this to the class teacher who sends a message out: ‘please consider healthy options, but it is up to you what you send in your child’s lunchbox’
At breakfast club michelle opens and looks through Charlotte’s child’s lunchbox
Charlotte gets angry; sends her daughter in with double stuffed oreo’s and encourages everyone to do similar
By now lunch sharing has been banned in the school
Meanwhile the children have organised a racing game in which you ‘win’ an oreo, thereby finding a loophole in the no sharing rule
At some point this is screenshotted and put up on instagram, and it becomes viral
Supernanny and jennifer garner are now involved
Oreo’s are tweeting about it

I'm not sure if Michelle and co are real but this does show the level of entitlement of some people in today's society. Also expect ing school to sort out every little situation resonated with me as a teacher.

Yes I assume it’s not real.
The woman who posted it also has another drama posted in exactly the same way (the annoying AI singing) involving a WhatsApp group set up for a hen do, and the bride’s ridiculous demands.

Having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if the original request (“don’t send your child into school with something in their lunchbox that I don’t want my child to have because it makes my child jealous”) is something that certain parents have asked before, and don’t see an issue with.

So fake.

I have also read them and they are funny but no it’s not real it’s promoting a music app. There’s also one about a bachelorette party and one about a lad starting college.
i don’t have the sound on when I’m reading them as I find the music annoying.

While i doubt the story ois true, I have no doubt there are parents who would try this.

Not sharing food is a common safety rule however. Then banning things in the extreme case of airbourne/contact allergies.

It might be a bit embellished but I can absolutely believe the entitlement of some parents!!

I bet it’s an AI story

It’s obviously just silly fiction. Like all of those ‘texts set to music’ that have been trending.

I'm on the side of the character who wants her daughter to eat healthily and is a bit appalled at the amounts of sugar on offer at a birthday party.
