Has anyone had a good experience with a private Autism and ADHD assessment?

Im trying to find a company to assess my young adult son and want to pay privately. I know we can do NHS or Right to Choose but we need this assessment quite urgently.

There are so many organisations and im scared of going to the wrong one.

We are unsure if he has Autism/adhd or both.

Does anyone have any good experiences/recommendations?

I'd recommend an in person assessment, so it might be worth giving a general area.

When someone is trying to form a complete impression of you, it really is better to meet in person. Unfortunately, you're not local to me. You could start a more specific thread, or ask on something like a ND specific Facebook group and ask there, as it will be seen by more relevant people.

We are Manchester but sadly ours moved to london . Our DD adhd is definitely correct but I think also ASD now (as does she). Equally I’m sceptical that you get what you pay for. I’d post on FB groups for recommendations. I really wish there were accessible robust NHS diagnosis. We are on wait list and have been for 5 years

We are a similar area and have just used Clinical Partners whom I would recommend.

We had an online assessment but they do offer in person in London or Manchester. The wait is a little longer for in person (by a few weeks)

I wouldn't do online.

I went with Dr Kripalani at the ADHD centre and had a very positive experience. I think he worked for the NHS and received rewards for excellence in his work for them.

Can't help with autism, sorry.

We used The more you know based in Preston. The interviews were all in person and only the final psychiatrist appointments were online.
They were fantastic and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend although my experience is with diagnosis of a young adult.
