Luxury spa hotel Lake District

Can anyone recommend a luxury spa hotel in the Lake District? Ideally closer to Keswick than further south but open to all ideas. There’s just two of us (adults) and we’ve not been to the Lake District before. We’re hoping to do some walking and pottering around a pretty town or two. Thanks in advance!

Langdale Chase is spectacular.

Lodore Falls if you want to be near Keswick

Another vote for Langdale Chase (but it doesn’t have a spa)

We loved Lodore Falls! The main hotel is a little old school but the rooms are lovely and the spa hotel and restaurant are fabulous. Right near Catbells for walking and Keswick is a short drive

Gilpin - specifically a spa lodge, amazing. Treatments on site but a room with your own deck hot tub, sauna and steam room.

A more budget friendly option is a Lakeland spa room at the Ambleside Salutation.

the brimstone is lovely

Another vote for Gilpin. Last I checked restaurant had a Michelin star too.

Langdale Chase is worth staying even without the spa. It’s truly wonderful.

Lodore falls is lovely, and the do a great Asian influenced afternoon tea which is so tasty. Friends rate low water bay in Windermere highly for its spa facilities.

Brimstone

The Gilpin is amazing.

Have a look at The Swan at Newby Bridge ... brand new spa

Armathwaite Hall was lovely when I stayed a few years ago

Lodore very near Keswick. Outdoor spa pools with a view, walks, ferry, bus right there. If it rains go to Cockermouth and check out the brewery (new management, cafe and bar), bookshop, excellent coffee and hot choc at The Moon and Sixpence. In Keswick try The Round and Fellpack for dinner. Afternoon tea experience Bassenthwaite Lake

Lodore Falls is the obvious choice if being close to Keswick and in the heart of the national park is important. Armathwaite Hall, just on the other side of Bassenthwaite Lake from Keswick, is also worth considering. Lyzzick is even closer to Keswick and has access to spa facilities nearby.

Low Wood Bay

I stayed here very recently, highly recommend: www.brimstonehotel.co.uk/

Lodore Falls is nice, I prefer it to Low Wood Bay. The Samling, Langdale Chase and The Gilpin are all beautiful.
