I'm hoping there might be ladies on here who can relate and experienced similar.
I feel like I'm falling apart and loosing my mind. Can peri menopause really be this bad? I'm on week two of the most awfull migraine like headaches that just won't go away. Won't respond to normal painkillers. Codeine sometimes helps but I know I can't keep taking it.
I feel out of it. I'm exhausted and just feel like curling up and collapsing.
I've always been headachy but this is something else! I've noticed over the last few years I'm getting headaches at the end of my periods. I'm so tired. Sleep is awfull. I can't concentrate and keep making mistakes at work.
A reason I think the headaches might be hormonal is I had to stop taking the pill many years ago as it gave me the most awfull migraine and headaches.
Periods have got worse-longer, heavier, painfull and closer together! I even get mid cycle issues like really painfull crampy ovulation
I've always been very emotionally and mentally stable, but now in the run up to my periods I'm a horror. I'm moody, irritable, everyone pisses me off. This has been a shock to me as I've never been like this! My husband wondered what the hell was up with me for so long, but now we've worked it out, he's so understanding and just knows what's going on every month and does his best to be kind to me etc.
I still have young ish children (I'm early 40s) and I used to love days out etc, but it's affecting my ability to want to do anything.
I'm going to get a doctor's appointment this week. Will they be able to help? Is this even normal? Do I just get on with it? Did anyone else have or has similar and managed to find something to help? Thank you In advance, just hearing similar to make me feel in not going mad would be a great help x
