Buying bras online

I am a 34H or sometimes a HH, sometimes a 36 - all depending on the bra (losing loads of weight, but the damn boobs just won't shrink 😡)

I go to Bravissimo for fittings, and I'm really pleased with their service.

But I keep seeing adverts on Facebook for some really pretty bras that I'd like, but which Bravissimo don't sell.

Is it acceptable to order a wide variety of sizes to try at home, and then return the ones that don't fit? It seems a bit off to do that (and never mind the expense of buying 4 bras at £35-40 a pop, then having to wait for a refund!) or are the retailers resigned to the fact that this is just the way things are?

Or should I just stick to purchasing in person at Bravissimo?

If you are losing weight, I would recommend from experience waiting until you are at target before buying lots of bras. I would just keep to the minimum you need for daily use while your weight is in flux. Your bra size will almost certainly change eventually if you are losing a significant amount of weight - even if the size of your boobs doesn't change much, your band size will go down. I've given a whole 'bag for life' full of barely-worn bras in about six different sizes to charity due to weight loss and fluctuations in size.

In terms of buying online, personally, I don't. Even if I can be confident the bra will fit, I want to feel the fabric - some lovely-looking bras turn out to be made of cheap, scratchy, sweat-trapping fabric. Unless it's getting additional of a bra you know and love, I think it's more hassle than it's worth having to order and send back. Plus if you're seeing the ads on Facebook you run the risk of being scammed.

Congrats on your weight loss so far and good luck for the rest of the journey!
