If you’ve managed to completely give up UPF do you feel better for it?

Posting here for traffic.
2 months ago I stopped buying eating any UPF unless I was eating in someone else’s house.
Ive never eaten loads, I had a fairly healthy diet, rarely ate ready meals perhaps once a month, ditto take away, no pot noodles, breakfast cereals, fizzy drinks (I only drink water) flavoured yoghurts I love natural yoghurt etc but I did have a terrible weakness for biscuits cakes sweets and I bought my bread in a supermarket. Ive never eaten lots of red meat, I was always a big fruit eater but not an enormous vegetable eater.
Now I don’t eat any UPF, I buy my bread in an artisan baker, eat loads of vegetables of all colours, only eat organic kefir, red meat once a fortnight if that, chicken once a week, loads of beans, oily fish twice a week, very rarely any sweets biscuits or cakes and I don’t even like them when I do eat them. It’s definitely costing me more money but I’m very lucky I can afford it.
Before I disclose if I feel better or not for it Im very interested in others experiences.

I am vegan with no sweet tooth whatsoever so I am on minimal UPF by default, the exception being when I eat out or have the odd 'day off' or such. I may not be a great example because I also high protein and weight train every day but I do feel good generally other than injuries (some of which are caused by weight lifting)!

Was this all that you needed to lose @Whatisthisperihell? Or more of a kickstart to your weight loss? I need to lose a stone and doing it in six weeks would be amazing!

Yes, but I think it's because the food I swapped it for made me fuller for longer. So for example I swapped toast in the morning for overnight oats with fruit and seeds. I no longer eat anything before lunch. I swapped a sandwich at lunch time for a Greek salad with chickpeas which means my afternoon hinger now happens a bit later (about 4) I still eat snack food then but it's homemade cookies or brownies and I can stop at one where as before I would be eating handfuls and struggled to stop. My dinners have always been upf free. Getting rid of upfs has definitely lowered my calorie intake but without it feeling like I'm depriving myself. I'm just fuller for longer. A lot more fibre in my diet!!!
