Where can I wait near Warrington Central when collecting someone?

Does anyone with knowledge of Warrington central station know if there is anywhere nearby to wait if you are picking someone up and they don’t arrive at the time you expect so you have to hang about?
In the city I live, everywhere around the station is double yellow lines and forbidden stopping so it’s impossible. I know there is drop off and pick up and 20mins free in the car park but I’m picking DD up from creamfields tomorrow morning and with the best will in the world she can’t guarantee an exact time as she’s getting the shuttle bus.

There’s a car park opposite that I normally wait in if I’m picking someone up from the station.

Park at the kings head pub - long time since I’ve been up that way but they used to do a
decent cooked breakfast

There’re a Tesco car park a few minutes walk away where you could wait too.

Tesco is your best bet if you want free parking. It's dull but not far at all.

Or if you want to do something, park in Golden Square and just go around the shopping centre for a bit. It's next to the bus station and pretty much opposite the station.
