Is the Aircraft Powerglide worth the money?

I keep seeing the aircraft powerglide floor cleaner advertised and I'm really tempted to get one but as it's nearly £200 I wondered if it's really worth the money?

Does anyone have one and can tell me if it's worth it?

I have hard floors all through our ground floor but some of the tiles are fake wood grain so they are not completely flat and at the moment I have a bissell floor washer but I also regularly need to do a proper clean using a scrubbing brush on my hands and knees.

If I could eliminate the need to do that with the powerglide with the additional scrubbing pads then that would be great but I don't want to spend that amount of money to discover it doesn't do what I want it to do.

It is rated by good housekeeping which is normally a good sign but I'd really like some real reviews from real people on here.

I had the Lakeland version and honestly, it wasn’t as whizzy and effective as I’d hoped. They aren’t powerful enough to really buff things to a shine — I suspect a battery-powered device just doesn’t have enough power to do that. They don’t clean any better than a mop and bucket, and you can’t get into corners with them. I didn’t want to risk using the scratchy pads on my wood floors — they might be alright on stone. The cleaning pads get dirty quite quickly (this might say something about how dirty my house is) and unlike a mop, you can’t swill the dirt off, so after a while you’re just transferring dirt from one area to another. And they’re a bit of a faff to use.

The battery gave up after about three years and I didn’t replace it. But I do sometimes look at how much it would cost to hire a proper floor buffer.
