Can you start HRT immediately after birth?

I’ve been in perimenopause a couple of years but due to ttc haven’t wanted to take additional hormones on top of IVF ones.

im wondering as we are now using donor eggs and have a high success chance will I be able to go straight to HRT after birth ? Been really struggling with peri symptoms so im desperate to try HRT.

Will it mean I have to formula feed if I have a baby due to the hormones or are bioidentical ones ok?

Your oestrogen and progesterone will be naturally low while breastfeeding as prolactin suppresses both. It's normal to not have a cycle while breastfeeding if you aren't going more than a few hours between feeds day and night, so you may find it feels very different to being peri.
