Another one I've just thought of, not your typical beauty but a very fanciable woman; Sally Lindsay (before the weight loss. She's still pretty but she was hotter before).

MotherOfLittleCrocodiles · 08/09/2026 20:45

Harriet Walter is fabulous. Perfect bone structure, and a brilliant actress.

Not sure if she's been mentioned, but Hedy Lamarr. Not only beauty, but brains. She co-invented frequency hopping, intended for use in blocking the jamming of guided torpedos in WWII. And which is the core idea behind 'spread-spectrum' which is used in mobile phone technology.

OOPS, someone beat me to it. Oh well, here's another picture. She's well worth looking at.

Edited

I love Hedy Lamarr and she was definitely smart but the evidence is more contested re her (and her partner George Antheil) inventing frequency hopping and the impact this had on mobile phones.

I mentioned Claudia Cardinale earlier in the thread.
In my opinion, she was the most beautiful woman in film....or anywhere.

She was really beautiful, and a great actress!

Antonia Fraser. I've read that her father , Lord Longford , was a very beautiful young man. But I only remember him as an elderly bald man. I'd imagine Antonia is still lovely. Those bones don't age much....

Yes, I read an article where she said people thought she looked like Julie Christie when she was young. Not the first comparison I'd have made but I do see a resemblance thinking about it.

Just another Lauren Bacall...
and Martha Vickers.

Both in The Big Sleep.

I love Lauren Bacall but wish Vickers had got more chances. She was beautiful and great in The Big Sleep : apparently several scenes of hers were cut as they felt she out-acted Bacall. After that she never really got good films..

Finest hours: Martha Vickers in The Big Sleep

On what would have been her 100th birthday, we remember model-turned-actress Martha Vickers and her scene-stealing performance – playing younger sister to Lauren Bacall – as the flirtatious Carmen Sternwood.

I thought she looked more like Marriane Faithful.

Thanks for that info! Hadn't read that about Martha Vickers, but, yes, I don't recall seeing her in much else.

I thought Sandie Shaw had the most beautiful face, and Eve Graham, the brunette from the New Seekers, was also lovely.

lavendarwillow · 08/09/2026 23:54

All three girls from Saved by the Bell, Tiffani, Lark and Elizabeth.

I know it probably won't be popular, but I had a crush on Pamela Anderson for decades. No, it's wasn't her boobs! I though she had a really pretty face and nice hair. Plus she's into animal rights.

Piglet89 · 09/09/2026 06:44

Natalie Portman.

Camila Mendes. I saw her in a move recently and thought she was AI as she looked so perfect.

Openmouthinsertfood · 09/09/2026 10:56

I hope this works as I've never posted an image before, but I think Ashley James is truely beautiful.

EDIT: Nope pic shows up before I post but not after.

berae · 09/09/2026 16:16

and Princess Andre, Katie Price’s daughter. She’s absolutely beautiful and hopefully won’t get all the surgery her Mum has had.

XelaM · 09/09/2026 16:45
