Is he still preaching ? Why do women in particular listen to him ? It’s so bizarre, evangelical nonsense used to hide abuse

How did the congregation not think that that guy was insane preaching, every week about how women should give as much sex as the men want, and if they dont, its the woman's fault that the man cheats!

He was absolutely batshit crazy

There are quite a few programmes like this. Unchosen on Netflix is very good. Try and catch it if you can. (6 episodes long.) Fictional, but based on real lives of people who have been heavily indoctrinated into cults. Features Molly Windsor, Siobhan Finneran, Christopher Eccleston, and a very easy on the eye Irish actor called Fra Fee. (See attached!)

Just gone down a rabbit hole on Threads about this, WTF, horrendous allegations

I watched this and I was so annoyed. The amount of abuse she endured. She met him when she was 13...He is a predator and a very sick human being. Injections of testosterone so she would want sex 4 times a day. I don't think I have despised a person in a documentary as much as I have him. He's not flawed he is a demon pretending to be a man of God. Disgusting.

How on earth anyone could be taken in by him and his sermons is beyond belief though. I know Mica was young and impressionable when she joined so not blaming her in any way.

I think Mica was completely indoctrinated and could not see anything beyond the church. If she’d stayed with the first husband she’d probably be alive. Would love to hear the first wife’s story

Looking for this thread. I am disgusted with every member of that 'church' they had children in there! They are all horrific!!! What sort of people agree with that vile mentally disturbed man's filthy woman abusing rants. They should ALL be utterly ashamed. That poor young girl 😩

Just horrendous example of coercive control. I hope at the very least that her family pass Mica’s Law. How backwards is the law that control / stalking / harassment cannot be considered in a marriage?! Utterly bonkers. Also that her husband whom she had separated from and served divorce papers seemed to have control over doctors etc. That poor woman had been groomed from 13.

Some other things I found strange were how much footage there was (obviously all his sermons were recorded and her lawyer had saved them, but the idea of so much videoing within the church) and also as people arrived after Suzie’s husband’s accident (indicative of the current world I suppose where people video everything including tragic circumstances). Also, the content of those sermons - why is a pastor banging on about sex / lust / blame in a family church? (It did not go unnoticed that he was homophobic etc). Absolutely crazy.

That said, and I am not religious, but I can see why people in a small community might like the support of a church / all that singing etc (when approached healthily!).

He is an awful human being, I hope he gets his comeuppance.

Also, another thing that was alien to me as a non religious person (although my parents are C of E and therefore practice a v British religion eg private and no spreading the word etc), is how much they prayed when things went wrong, bible study, church / Christian counselling. It really is their whole world.
