Fucking wasps

I’ve been stung by one! I didn’t know it was so painful?! It literally felt like a hot knife had been pressed against my skin. All I did was sit down on a bench in front of some bushes, must’ve angered them as when I looked after there was loads of them. It’s still throbbing now and it even bled, is that normal?

You must be sweet! 😁

Yes, perfectly normal. Can you wash the sting and apply something cool onto it?

It'll stop hurting soon.

Is this your first wasp sting?

I was stung last year (DH moved the narrowboat we were holidaying on, to the wall of a bridge to pick blackberries - and distrurbed their nest). Yes, a little bleeding and throbbing is normal. It will probably be stingy and itchy for a few days.

I don't hate/fear wasps though - they're important pollinators and good for ridding hte garden of pests. Like bees, but need a little more personal space. And they've been struggling this year.

Sympathy to you though. There are creams and stuff from the pharmacy that will relieve the symptoms a little.

Also see the Sting pain index

The man let himself experience it all and gave lovely descriptions. Nutter!
