Spider in the toilet played dead before suddenly springing back to life

There was a spider in my toilet pretending to be dead. All scrunched up. I felt sorry for it. Then all of a sudden, it sprung back to life, with its beady eyes staring at me. Bastards, aren't they?

Yes that was how the one in arachnophobia managed to take over the town.

I genuinely hate spiders that run fast. I don't mind cellar spiders but the way the ones that run go I just can't. It's weird because I do t mind it when we go on holiday and see quick moving lizards everywhere.

I had one run over our model railway. At 1:72 scale, it's the same size as a tractor.

i took my pants off the radiator and, as i was turning them from inside out, a spider appeared from inside them and nearly gave me a heart attack.

it fell to the floor and played dead just long enough for me to get the spider catcher from the kitchen (shot glass and postcard) and as i was about to capture it, it shot off under furniture to plot its revenge.

no pants are safe now and i’m waiting for it’s reappearance. at which point is going outside. depending when that is i may need a larger capturing glass….
