This weekend I'm organising a treasure hunt for the birthday of my son (he's 10) with 10 of his friends. He originally wanted to do a real escape room, but for 10 kids together, it would be quite a lot of money. I'm looking to insert some 'escape room' riddles/games in my treasure hunt but am running out of ideas.
For now, the plan is that they would have to find an envelope with a first clue of where to go; go to a new location to do a game/riddle/activity at which point they get a new location etc. For games, I thought of so far:
- recognising objects in a shoebox
- making a tangram puzzle
- taste test to identify which flavour is what
- mathmatics puzzle to find a code for a key lock
Would you have some further fun ideas? Ideally, it would be challenges that are appealing to different types of kids as I want to give each of them a chance to get the answer. Many thanks for ideas!
