Cleaning/washing up glove recommendations (boring, I know 😂)

This is a very boring question, so apologies in advance!

Please can I have your glove recommendations for cleaning!

I recently started getting gel/BIAB nails and I’m really happy with them. However I’ve noticed they seem to lift sooner when I do lots of cleaning.

I do the bare minimum when it comes to washing up (mainly just baby bottles and scrubbing baking trays). Are Marigolds easy to use for also cleaning kitchen surfaces etc? Or would I be better off with disposable latex gloves? I’d ideally prefer something reusable, but I always imagine Marigolds being a bit loose and cumbersome for cleaning? Obviously I’d use a separate set gloves for the bathroom, and I already use single use ones for the toilet (3 sons 🤢).

I always stick with good old Marigolds, I've found they can't be beaten for longevity. They do come in small, medium and large if that helps? I find medium is just right, not too tight, but not big enough that they float off in the washing up water. 😅
I don't know about latex gloves now but last time I used them I found they spilt easily or tore at the wrist.

Just make sure you get the right size and you’ll be grand with marigolds - latex gloves I find go all weird in water and split easily.

Marigold brand are excellent and last well, but are expensive; recently I’ve found the Elbow Grease brand which I find just as good and considerably cheaper, often to be found for £1 in home bargains.

I can’t get on with supermarket own brand rubber gloves, I find they have no grip compared to branded ones and I end up breaking stuff!

Marigolds Extra-Safe or Spontex Delicate are great! They fit much snugger than standard ones so you won't lose dexterity, and they'll keep your BIAB nails completely protected from water lifting.

I like Elbow Grease gloves as well They do the job

I'll try and find the name of mine but cannot locate the packaging. Basically each finger has a different tool on the end. (Made from rubber same as glove but hard). It's has been so useful to get into places that would be tricky with just a finger and the results are fantastic

I am the same! Housework and handwashing ruins my gel nails in no time, but I really hate the flock lining in marigolds and how baggy they are.

I now have boxes of disposable nitrile (not latex, they smell gross) exam gloves in my kitchen/utility/bathrooms and try to put them on whenever I’m pottering around the house and cooking or doing chores. If you get the right size, they are just like a second skin, so I can comfortably wear them for hours. They are so comfortable I’ve sat down to watch TV and found myself still wearing them a hour or two later.

For washing up, or anything else very messy, I’ll put on reusable washing up gloves over the disposable ones, so I am still wearing the disposables afterwards.
