Car Breakdown Cover Recommendations please

Looking to renew my car breakdown cover for 2 cars but my current policy with Green Flag has almost doubled since last year.

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with other companies they could share? Start Rescue keeps coming up but I’ve never heard of them…or would you stick with “AA/RAC/Green Flag” types.

I know it’s mundane sorry, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No as each quote will be area/you/car dependent, but if you go through TopCashBack or Quidco (etc) you can get usually get decent cashback.

I renewed in April and the cashback was about half the policy cost!
If you are buying it anyway you may as well get cashback.

FWIW, I used to have AutoAid until I had to use it some years ago and they handled it atrociously (sent the tow truck to the wrong COUNTY, let alone town or actual railway station address/landmark I'd given them, then tried to blame me for it!). I believe this was after they outsourced or sold the recovery business to a third party and stopped using their own in house call centre, who were wonderful!

Have a look at Britannia Rescue. Small and very underrated. I now have RAC cover through my insurance, but would go back to BR in a heartbeat.

Have been with Britannia Rescue for decades, prior to that we were with the RAC.

Our single BR policy covers all vehicles in the household including our Moho, motorcycles & classic cars.
Home start, personal cover, recovery to destination of choice, legal cover etc are all included as is membership of Boundless (was CSMA).

Have used them a few times over the years and service has been faultless.

Think it was £120 at renewal but as I say, it covers all our vehicles.
