Who would play Dolly Parton in a biopic?

With the passing of Dolly, it got me thinking about the number of biopics over the last 10 years or so: Elton John, Amy Whitehouse, Elvis and Freddie Mercury. It sounds like Dolly has lived an amazing life, growing up in poverty, long marriage where her husband managed to remain out of the spotlight - it has the makings of a great biopic, I don't know why it hasn't been done already - unless she was approached and said no.

Who do you think could play Dolly in a biopic? I don't actually have anyone in mind. Of course it comes down to acting ability and possibly singing ability if the person has to do both, and so maybe a complete unknown person would be discovered.

Maybe Reese Witherspoon? She can sing and won as Oscar for Walk the Line.
Sabrina Carpenter might be another possibility but I don’t know if she acts as well as sings.

Definitely Sabrina carpenter. They sang together too. Finding the right singer is more important than acting for that sort of role

Miley. It has to be a country singer. But maybe someone unknown.

Dolly was Miley's Godmother, wasn't she? That would be a fitting choice.

My first thought was Miley, the familiar connection and country singing background.

I would say Miley too.

As nice as it would be for Miley to do it because of the family connection she’s far too tall. Sabrina Carpenter is the obvious choice for me, or someone unknown.

Seriously though I think Reece Witherspoon would be excellent having watched her on The Morning Show.

I like both the suggestion of Miley and Sabrina

However if this was to happen I'd love for it to be a relative unknown singer/actor
