Interested in hearing people’s thoughts about bathroom renovation costs - me and my OH are umming and ahhing over getting the bathroom and ensuite done as we’ll only be in this house another 2-3 years, however they could do with doing - they’re the oldest rooms in the house and are the original fittings and design from 2005…plus some very evident signs of wear and tear. so even if we sold up I’d expect the bathrooms and ensuite to devalue the house somewhat.
Anyway, the quote we’ve got is £11.5k which is for a small bathroom (1.7x1.8m) and a small ensuite (0.85mx2m). This includes:
Complete rip out and disposal
New brass style bath, over-bath thermostatic shower, screen, toilet, sink cabinet, towel radiator and LED mirror in bathroom
New black finish shower cubicle & tray, thermostatic shower, toilet, sink cabinet, towel radiator and LED mirror in en-suite
Spotlights and new extractor in both rooms
Part acoustic wall panels in wet areas of rooms only (walls will be left as is - painted white)
Click clack flooring
Thoughts on the price and whether a modernised bathroom and ensuite actually add value? For reference we are based in Teesside, North East and looking for one company to do the project management side of things as we’ll both be working
