People can grieve how they please of course but wtf with the bouquets for Dolly ... We're they not paying attention? Am convinced she would rather they bought a book for a child, or something for the food bank.

I always think its odd how people act over celebrities. Their complete strangers.

This will be deeply unpopular, but the hysteria over Diana was unbelievable. All those bouquets rotting in the sun and left for someone else to clear up.

The average bunch of flowers in a supermarket costs a fiver. If that money had been donated instead to a worthy cause, it would have been a much better tribute - but not nearly as performative.

I’m saddened by the death of Dolly; she came across as a lovely person with a great sense of humour, but that’s as far as it goes. This laying of tributes for any celebrity seems to be more about a need in the individual rather than the deceased.
