My social media algorithm has changed and it makes me so happy. No more relationship and friendship memes, and psychics telling me someone is thinking about me. Now I get cats, plants and woodwork tips and tools.
I am so proud of myself. Finally healing and moving on. My algorithm proves it!

What do you get fed on yours? And what does it say about you?

Mine says I'm a new kitten 'mum' fixing up a house by herself and trying to stop killing orchids 😆 Much better than sad, superstitious, broken hearted 40 something!

I'm mostly on X and FB.

My X feed is mainly women's rights (especially Afghan women and gender ideology) and nature/the environment/climate crisis.

My FB feed is mostly the same as X plus some posts about books (especially Terry Pratchett and Ladybird books), films, radio and tv, animal rescue groups and posts from local FB groups in 2 very different parts of the world.

I suppose that means I'm a well read Terf who knows we're in the middle of a climate emergency and can't decide where I want to live.

If you saw mine right now you would think I was into music festivals, triathlons and strangely American teens moving into their dorm rooms. I am not. My teenagers are into festivals and triathlons. No one is interested in the American dorm room thing but they just keep showing up.

Mine is renovating abroad, weightlifting, feminism and Corgis.

That i don't exist. Because I don't have any. To the extent that I once tried to make a Facebook account and their ai thought i was a bot.

Brilliant! Got to love that level of narcissism from Facebook- if she doesn't already have social media then she can't exist so she can't have social media.

Mine says I need new windows.

I don’t have one, I don’t want to be ‘fed’ by an algorithm.
Nearest I’ve got is YouTube - mostly dachshund videos, other cute animals/wildlife, yoga and classic comedy sketches.

I'm day dreaming about moving to Costa Rica.

Over the summer, I've had local posts cropping up on my FB feed about dying gardens and wildfires. Meanwhile, I've had Costa Rican posts about roads closed because of flooding and even a photo of a large crocodile that had to be moved after it was found on flooded road!

Yes to all of it. France, I'm jumping ship. It might have the same problems as here, but the quality of life and weather are better. I can recommend Corgi life too. 😁

My Facebook is all Terry Pratchett and Indie music.
My tiktok and insta is all indie music, cooking and cats.
My son is in a band, the music is usually something to do with him.

I do not have social media anymore, but as I didn't post anything, I obviously didn't really have a life, and the algorithm was mainly farming, Scottish islands, new kitchens (personally, I'd prefer a bigger kitchen, to start with!) and curly hair.
