Homeade Wedding Gift Ideas

We are attending an overseas wedding of a family friend in a few weeks and need a gift. I messaged the bride who said that they haven't done a gift list as they know people have already spent a lot to attend the wedding but something homemade would be appreciated.

I am not at all talented or crafty but don't want to go empty handed. Any one have any ideas? Much be reasonably small and transportable as it will have to be packed in to the suitcase. Was close to the bride when we were small but barely know here now. No doubt we have been invited out of respect for the friendship between our parents so very little common interests or info about the bride and groom to draw on.

Anyone got any ideas.

Do you have any pictures of the two of you (or the two of you with families) - you could make a picture book, or get a picture framed.

you could go to a pottery painting cafe and paint them a vase or a pair of Mr and Mrs mugs. Even just calligraphy their married name would look nice.

From how I understood it should be made by us be made by us but I think any gift will be appreciated. The question is if I can find the time to go around the markets.
I like the pottery idea and know a place where we could do it. I'll suggest that to the kids and see if they're interested.
