Water in ear causing bacterial infection - help!

I’m at my wits end.
I was abroad 10 days ago and jumped into deep sea which put water behind my ear drums and one ear got a bacterial infection. I’ve since been on 2 antibiotics, and although the pain is mostly better, the fullness and pressure and lack of hearing is still just the same. Has anyone got experience of this? (Not via a virus as that takes a different time to clear.)
Back to the doctors tomorrow, but I’d already been told if these antibiotics don’t work it will be an ent referral. I can’t go on like this though! I’m not even leaving the house! 😩

It's likely to need far longer to heal to be honest.
