Best energy supplier to switch to?

Hi so I've just moved into a new rented 2 bed house me and my child. The energy supplier is currently scottish power. I havent yet set up direct debit and I only moved in last week however heard bad reviews. Can anyone recommend the best energy supplier my mind is boggled trying to decide.

I've been with various energy companies over the years and not been particularly impressed with any of them. But I can categorically say that Scottish Power was the worst. I had a terrible experience with them.
I found SSE the best of those that I have been with. But then of course it got taken over by OVO. I've stayed with OVO and it's not as good as SSE but not so bad that I want to risk trying another company.
So sorry no advice as to who you should go for but I would definitely not stick with Scottish Power.
