Does anyone want to show me their comfortable armchairs?

Please?! Bought an expensive new sofa about 2 years ago after extensive research (or, in the eyes of some, extensive faffing). Turns out I chose pretty much the most uncomfortable sofa I’ve ever owned!

I now don’t trust my judgement when armchair buying. I want something very comfortable for reading/watching tv/napping etc

Recommendations and pictures much appreciated :)

After several wrong buys over the years we went for Ercol. Expensive but long lasting, hard wearing and fabulously comfortable. Once you sit down you don’t want to move.

We also have (secondhand) Ercol. So comfortable.
And a La-Z-Boy leather recliner.
Stressless is very popular too, but is a particular style, so I guess looks come into it as well as comfort.

After several decades of buying cheap Chinese copies that crumble at the connecting points I invested in a genuine Ekornes stressless recliner with a raised seat that is easier for me to escape from. Worth every penny, wish I'd gone for it a lot earlier, my back would have thanked me for the consideration.

I really like the ikea one. A friend has it and it's so comfy - just the right height, angle and squish.

I have a row of airline seats. They are business class. I don't know what plane they are out of. If any comes to visit, I tell them to sit down and take their drink order. They even have the life vests underneath still.

Thank you for the responses - so sorry for not replying sooner. We exchanged on a property today, due to complete on Friday, and the removers and packers I’ve had booked since June, told me today that they had decided yesterday not to move me. So I’ve been panicking all day!

Anyway, thanks again. Very interested in the airline seats! Where did you find them and are they comfortable?!
