Staying near Reading for Lapland UK, is a 20 minute drive reasonable?

Hi, we’re going to Lapland uk this year. We have booked to stay overnight at a hotel near Reading? Is this too far from Lapland? It says about a 20 minute drive. Not knowing the area I’m not sure if this is a good idea or try to get somewhere closer? Thanks in advance for any info.

Never been, but at that time of year I used to regularly go past signs for it. I think it should be fine, it isn't a particularly high traffic queue area.

I’d say it would be more 40 minutes (on a good day). Reading traffic can be terrible. I’d say Bracknell might be a better option. It depends which side of Reading you are staying at of course.

I would stay Maidenhead or Windsor

Thanks for your replies! I know that we will drive through Bracknell if that helps? We are not far from the Winnersh Triangle (I think that’s how you spell it) train station?

Have you already booked? If not, have a look at the Premier Inn at Bagshot as that's very close.

Winnersh Triangle is right next to the A329M- hop on that and come off at the Bracknell junction for Lapland UK. Its a good place to stay if that's your plan, much better than Reading as traffic in the centre is terrible.

Not sure if you are on Facebook but there is a group called LaplandUK Fan Chat and people talk about every detail of lapland there so you might find it helpful.

I have friends who live in Reading at work at Lapland UK so I'd say it's fine.
