Ideas for a one-night family break near Birmingham for my 40th

I’m turning 40 in October. I’d like to spend a night away with my husband and two young children. Do you have any ideas? Preferably not too far from Birmingham(1-2 hour)I’d also love to visit a small town or village.
thanks

Forest of Dean or Ross-on-Wye?

Ironbridge is fun. We had a lovely half term visit there when the kids were young.

You're spoilt for choice really.

Bewdley
Stratford on Avon
Bridgnorth
Ironbridge
Worcester (city but small, close to Cotswolds...visit Broadway etc)

They're all around an hour or less away.

2 hours is like half the country 😂

Chester is nice for restaurants and shops and the zoo is excellent, I don’t think you could call it a small town though.
Burford in the Cotswolds has the Cotswolds Wildlife Park nearby and is definitely a small town with good shops and restaurants that will not be too rammed with tourists in November.
