Would you let 13 year old take younger sibling to the park?

Would you let a (just turned) 13 year old take a 9 year old sibling to the park?
Park 5 mins away from home but also next to a town centre so can be reasonably busy. Very sensible 9 year old, 13 year old not so much but sensible enough to not leave his brother and wander off

Yeah. For a short time if it was an appropriate escalation of supervision they've already given to said 9 year old.

My almost 12 year old takes her 9 year old brother to the shops and park. The 9 year old will be walking to and from school alone next week so been building independence.

I think being busy is probably better than very quiet tbh.
A 13 year old should be road/traffic savvy and that is the greater potential safety issue.
Allowing this promotes responsibility and children do need to do things/interact with others without adult supervision. It’s how they learn.
