Swimming towel?

Am I looking for something that does not exist?

I want a towel for swimming that is lightweight but actually has a bit of friction to it so that you actually get dry. I have been using a microfiber towel but I still feel damp after using it.

Any suggestions?

You want a Haman towel (Etsy, Amazon, lots of place, check sizes), or possibly even better in poncho form. I have one in my lightweight swimming kit that I take hillwalking.

I bought a cheap beach towel in Benidorm because I hadn't been able to fit a real towel in my underseat bag.

It's one of the most useful things I own. Big enough, but not over big. Real cotton towelling, but thin. I think I paid 5 euro.

Takes up the same space as a microfiber towel but actually dries you!

Hammam towel, we all have one we take away, absorbent for hair, quick to dry quite like a tea towel :)
