Did you have a tour of the labour ward before you had your baby?

I’m sure my friend did; vaguely remember her talking about it. I don’t want to message her and randomly ask! I had my children post Covid so I think that it all changed then, or is it still a thing in some places?

Yes but this was early 90s, and very normal then.

Yes in 2008 with the NHS antenatal course (which was signigicantly better than the £130 NCT course).

It was a bad idea in hindsight. I went into a spiral of anxiety, I hadn't considered actually giving birth until then!

I agree, I remember being so terrified after being shown a labour room with just a bed, a metal trolley and angle lamp hanging down from the ceiling that I decided I wasn’t going to go in until I absolutely had to and ended up giving birth on the way 😂
