Giving away an old wedding dress for reuse or restoration

I'm trying to give away my old wedding dress for free (postage only) to some one who can restore it reuse the fabric and parts.
Doesn't need to be for a wedding - could be any use.

I got married in 2012 and my wedding dress was beautiful - now I want to to give it away.
I didn't clean and store it properly. It has just been in a dress bag. It is now heavily yellowed in parts and has mud around the train and hem. Some beading is discoloured.
However there are large sections of beautiful fabric, embroidered lace and beading that are still good, and the structure seams of the dress is still good.
Some possible uses:
Photo shoot or theatre /cosplay
Clean and restore for new bride
Take out good fabric for small outfits

If anyone has a genuine use for my dress I am happy to send it your way for postage only.

I put mine on Facebook market place when I got divorced so you could also try that. Someone turned it into a Halloween costume, I thought it was a perfect use!

I took mine to be cleaned and they said, honestly, just stick it in a big washing machine in a laundrette, that's all they would do. Maybe give it a wash and then put it on Marketplace or donate to a charity shop?

After I got divorced it didn’t feel right to sell my dress or give it to charity to be sold as a wedding dress (bad omen). It was too nice to just bin though.

There’s a baby loss charity near us with volunteers that use wedding dress fabric to make gowns and blankets for babies stillborn or lost very young. Thankfully they don’t need many so don’t advertise it, but they took mine when I offered it. Perhaps there’s something similar in your area?

If it's yellowed, it's worthless even as a craft project. It probably smells too. It won't be worth the postage. How about you ask at the local primary school if they have a dressing up box? You'd make a little angel Gabriel in the nativity very happy too.

How about putting it in your washing machine and put it on delicate or handwash and see how it is. Then you could send it to a charity shop and someone might be able to dye it. It looks like a beautiful dress by the way.
