How have you filled your time as teenagers become more independent?

My children are now 14 and 15. They are out with their friends a lot more now, and obviously they can do a lot more for themselves. Now I have a lot more time on my hands & I don't know what to do with it. I am divorced; I work too. I did take on more study to change careers and nearly finished that, and looking to up my work hours. I feel I can now, as I have worked part-time since I had my first child. I just need more for myself now, as I have the time to find myself again, just not sure what exactly I want to do with my newfound free time. One thing I won't be doing is going to a gym, as I am active at work. Any suggestions about activities/interests you have pursued as your children become more independent? I do love live music, and have been travelling a lot more to gigs/concerts and festivals yet thats been with my teenagers as they now share my love of music.

I have decorated the house room by room. I also did a huge declutter (with a kids permission) and now the house is really easy to keep clean. i also love watching all f1 races and have done some solo travel.

Dance classes, yoga classes, joined a choir, countryside volunteering, other ad-hoc volunteering, became a school governor, got an allotment. Also started seeing more of my friends. Some weeks I struggle to squeeze work in.

I joined a choir, I play badminton, I’m thinking about trying padel, we have a dog who gets a bigger walk on the days I have more time on my hands, I garden a lot as I like to be outdoors

I started dating after 9 years being single and have a very lovely guy in my life (will not live with him or blend families (as both got teens) but it's nice to have someone to do stuff with).

I've got back into reading, found I enjoy gong baths and sound baths and make time for those. And binge watching different TV series.
