Best Small Water Bottles

Boring I know, but after having tried most brands of water bottle I’m stumped. I’d like a smallish bottle for my work cross body bag, ideally not too heavy, and can keep cold for at least a few hours. I’d also like it to be nice colours! I’ve got this one and love the colours, but it doesn’t really stay cold for long
https://www.next.co.uk/style/SV189498/D70661 me and my kids have between us tried Stanley, Chilli, Ion8, random Amazon ones, Smiggle, Swell and Smash over the years, and none of them live up to the claims of ‘stays cold for up to 8/12/24 hours’ even when using cold water with ice in, the water is just warmish. Any others I can try? Thanks!

I have a couple of Sho ones, they’re great.

Sho are brilliant. They’ve got 20% off atm too.

Yeti. I have two metal ones and they do stay cold.

Thank you so much, I will have a look at those ones!

I have this 200ml Hydro Flask - there are a few colours and it's watertight. Big enough (for me) to be useful but not heavy when full, plus effective at keeping drinks cold.

We have the stainless steel Decor ones from Amazon. Very light, keeps cool for a good few hours and comes in many designs. Mine is so old the design is wearing off!
you can also separate the straw, nozzle and bottle and out them through the dishwasher.

I think sho and chilly ones are good

notadroptodrink · 21/08/2026 20:37

Thanks all, hopefully one of these will do the trick. I’m so sick of drinking room temp water in my stuffy workplace!

My chilli keeps water freezing (as in the ice is still solid) for the whole day. It’s an original not the new kind.

I've been really impressed by the ION8 bottles, you can put them in the dish washer and there are no straws to get all stinky and mouldy. The insulated steel bottles keep my drink cold all day. My son loves his too!

Yes I have this one. I'm never usually that far from a water source so it's big enough. It's useful for the tablets I have to take in the morning.

Summerunlover · 21/08/2026 20:50

I have a sho one have had it for years

TheProudPanda · 21/08/2026 21:26

I have two Owala ones and they’re fab

Iheartmysmart · 21/08/2026 21:30

I’ve also got the 200ml Hydro Flask, as have several of my friends on my recommendation. It’s the perfect size for popping into a handbag.

notadroptodrink · 25/08/2026 22:26

Maybe I’m doing something wrong with my bottles? I’ve tried all these brands except Yeti and Sho and none of them are keeping anything cold! Ordered a yeti. Thanks all.

Another vote for Sho

Bitzee · 26/08/2026 15:11

I left ice in a yeti bottle on a 30+ degree day and it was still frozen the following morning. So I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
