Anyone else's DH experienced this? Health issue

Hi all,
This may be a little gross. Hes booked in to see the GP but im hoping anyone could help ease my panic??

For 2 years now (yes I know he should have seen his gp sooner!!) Hes had old dark blood in his semen occasionally. Its showed up 4 times now.

It clears itself away and then randomly comes back. No other symptoms like fever or pain. And we are both monogamous, no one here has cheated.

Hes 40 years old.

Any ideas?? Google is scaring me with cancer!

My husband is 50, he's had this few times over the past few years and has twice been referred to urology. He also had microscopic haematuria show up on urine samples though which was caused by a UTI.

He's had urgent referrals, blood tests, CTs and cystoscopy as both things can (in addition being caused by numerous other things) be a sign of cancer. All clear, nothing to worry about, but its always better to get everything checked out. Any issues can be treated and if the more likely result shows there's nothing there, it will put your mind at ease.
