Put an offer on Vinted for photos of a skirt but buyer says it is a shirt

I bought a skirt off Vinted from the 4 photos uploaded of a skirt but description says it is a shirt. I asked the seller if it was a skirt as I was confused as to why it showed photos of a skirt and she has confirmed to say it is a shirt as per the description. Can I cancel it from my end as I do not need some random shirt that was not even on the photos?

Ey? How is that a shirt?!? It looks like a skirt to me.

Looks like a skirt to me.
If a shirt shows up contact the seller to organise return or just resell. If its the skirt as photographed, happy days.

If they are sending what is in the picture and that is what you want then there shouldn't be a problem. It will be a problem if you get a totally different item ie a shirt. Maybe they are dyslexic.

A quick Google image search suggests it's definitely a skirt so I wouldn't ask to cancel. I would clarify it's the item shown in the pictures and if she sends a different item to the one in the photos then get back in touch with vinted.

I bought what I saw on the photos! And when I asked the seller to confirm whether it was the skirt they just said it was a shirt as per the description. Obviously I don’t want to pay postage for something I don’t want and just wondering how I can cancel?! Why advertise a shirt and show photos of a skirt…

Say if it’s per description then why have the uploaded a photo of a skirt??
Ask them to send you a photo of the shirt.

and then if they send that photo back you can say but that’s a skirt.

Ask which part of the body it’s worn on..

Maybe English is not their first language. Just ask them why the description says shirt, while the photo shows skirt.

Fortunately she got back to me and confirmed it was all down to spellcheck on her phone and it is a Skirt!

Honestly you’d think she would have realised that the first time you asked 🤣
