A few months ago I posted this…. https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/5496572-been-paid-twice-this-month-by-error?utm_campaign=thread&utm_medium=app_share
i contacted my previous trust, they apologised, sent me an apology letter and an invoice and i paid it all back straight away. The whole thing lasted about two months.
Funnily enough, it turns out that my new trust is owing me money now! A £6k lumpsum… which is sizeable… i have been asking for it since early May. My manager is trying to be helpful and keep sending email to finance to say we need to meet or it should be acted on by now etc… the finance manager is only contactable through the general finance department email… which doesnt make communication great. I have now spoken to 3 people in finance. The last one said it is ok i can claim like a normal expense. I tried to the system did not allow me. I emailed back she said she was going to investigate. It has been three weeks. I have sent one follow up email and still nothing…
it will soon be four months since i first ask for this money.
Am i able to claim compensation for the time lost? Like the base rate interest? I mean they have all agreed it is ok, i get stuck with the system and it is not fair. I want this to stop and not sure what to do?
any advice is welcome! Thank you
ps: there is no time stamp for me to claim that money but i know other people in same situation have already been paid
