A week to yourself - kind of

Eta - title should have been "kind of" . Not just kind!

My little boy (1yo) is starting full time nursery next week and I return to work the following week. We've planned him to go a week early so we can give him time to settle in to the day to day routine but also so I can have time to get sorted for work, give the house a full top to bottom clean and just relax.

In reality the cleaning and work prep will only take a day or two, so what would you do with the rest of the week to yourself?

We don't have any family help so it has been me and my husband only since our son was born, so as sad I am about my son going to nursery, I am also looking forward to this bit of me time. I don't want to waste it but also do want some chill time too.

I’d get the house sorted first so it’s all put together and lovely. Then I’d have one day bingeing a book and one day bingeing the shit TV that’s cluttering up my ‘My Planner’ lists. All with M & S picnic food from the clean and stocked fridge. Massage/a nearby spa does a good midweek deal another day. Day in town just poking round the shops, having coffee, maybe nipping into a gallery, cinema if there’s anything good on. And I’d probably plan a day of high-level organisation (ridding out the hall cupboard, tidying my underwear drawer) and then sack it off for lunch out on Friday.

Enjoy your week.
